Well, what can we say?  “David” is derived from a Biblical Hebrew name meaning 'beloved'.  And beloved it is, not only in the Principality of Wales (St David is the patron saint) but also in the US where it is the second most popular name accounting for one in twenty eight males.  So, we anticipate quite a few sales to our transatlantic cousins.....and, rather mysteriously to the good people of Liechtenstein, where it is the most popular boys name.  Closer to home, it is no secret that our newly-elected Prime minister prefers the informality of “Dave”.  If anyone knows him, please can they buy him one?  Same goes for Mr Beckham.
