This T showcases a Celtic knot.  Although most closely associated with the Irish national identity, knot patterns first appeared in the 3^rd and 4^th Centuries AD, and can be seen in Roman floor mosaics of that time.  Unfortunately, there is very little evidence to suggest that knot work had any specific philosophical or religious significance.  But, in these knots, one can see neither a beginning nor an end, which some scholars say alludes to the infinite nature of the human spirit.
